Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 continues to look more and more appealing, with the thinner design apparently set to include thinner bezels around the display too.
It’s been revealed recently that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be thinner than anticipated, with the design potentially being a world record holder in terms of its thickness. Leaker Ice Universe is adding some further context in new posts.
Firstly, we’ve got a breakdown of the overall dimensions when the device is open.
Where the Galaxy Z Fold 6 measured 153.5 x 132.6mm, Fold 7 will measure 158.4 x 143.1mm. That’s taller and wider than Fold 6, and also a bit bigger than the Galaxy Z Fold SE that launched last year at 157.9 x 142.6mm. The thickness of the device when open also drops from 5.6mm down to 3.9mm between Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Fold 7, and down from 4.9mm on the Fold SE.

In another post, Ice Universe says that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will also have thinner bezels around its inner display, shrinking from Fold 6’s 1.9mm to roughly 1mm. Flip 7 would also drop to 1.2mm. This addresses a component of foldable designs that have, thus far, lagged well behind their slab counterparts.
We’ll learn more in July when the Galaxy Z Fold 7
