Walmart just launched its latest Google TV device, the Onn 4K Plus, but appears to be keeping the devices it launched back in 2023 for a little while longer as a new branding refresh arrives.
Since their debut back in 2021, Walmart’s Onn streaming devices have been some of the best Android TV/Google TV hardware you can buy, thanks in no small part to their remarkably low pricing. The retailer’s initial devices were replaced in 2023 with the Onn 4K and Onn Full HD, two low-cost streaming devices using Google TV. And at $20 and $15, they’re still among the cheapest options on the market.
However, we weren’t expecting them to stick around much longer.
The two-year cycle that had been established is nearing its end, and Walmart’s release of Onn 4K Pro and Onn 4K Plus certainly made it seem like the lower-end devices would start to be replaced. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. Rather, the existing hardware appears to be sticking around.
Just as it did with Onn 4K Pro, Walmart has updated the listings for Onn 4K and Onn Full HD with an image to inform customers of a branding update. The packaging for both devices will be updated with a new blue colorway to match the updated Onn brand. Onn 4K Plus debuted with this new design, and now the entire lineup has been updated to match.

This signals that Walmart has no intentions of replacing, or even discontinuing, these devices anytime soon. That’s good news for bargain hunters, certainly, but we’ll be curious to see just how long these stick around.
Beyond that, Walmart is also now rolling out its Android 14 update for these 2023 streamers.
