A renewed Pixel 8 Pro is a steal at just $355 right now

It makes a lot of sense to consider a slightly older phone for your next purchase, as you can often find fantastic deals. Take the renewed Pixel 8 Pro from Amazon, for instance—it’s an absolute steal!

While the late-2023 flagship has been outshone by the newer Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL, it’s still an incredible device. You’ll get a smooth, clean software experience with updates stretching far into the future. For me, the OnePlus 12 has been the surprise top phone over the last 18 months, but the Pixel 8 Pro was a very close second despite some foibles.

Right now, Amazon has the 128GB version of the Pixel 8 Pro for a staggeringly low $355 through its “Amazon Renewed” program in “good” condition. That’s a huge $644 discount compared to the Google Store, where a new Pixel 8 Pro still goes for $999 so in that context it really is a steal. This makes it an arguably better deal than the Pixel 8a, which has been selling at similar prices since its May 2024 launch.

There is limited stock, but you can even get a renewed device listed as “excellent” for just $385 or one in “acceptable” condition for just $335 in some cases. To put these prices in perspective, you’d be hard-pressed to find similar deals on sites like eBay or Swappa, and those don’t offer the same guarantees or return policies as Amazon. A word of advice: if the seller does not have a 90 %+ rating, it might be worth checking reviews ahead of a purchase. However, Amazon at least backs you if something were to go awry – something which is not available on some other selling platforms.

If you prefer a smaller phone, a renewed Pixel 8 is on sale for just $275, which is a solid price. In some ways, it’s a better deal for people who want a decent small phone without fuss and don’t want to compromise with an A-series device.

For many, this could even be a better overall package than the base Pixel 9, which starts at $699. You’ll miss out on a few AI-powered features like Pixel Studio and Reimagine, but for almost half the price, you’re getting an incredible camera system, a larger battery, and a stunning Super Actua display.
